HPJ Students and Faculty Present Papers


Jared Hardesty and Justin Dickerson, both History majors presented papers at the Missouri Valley History Conference during their annual meeting in October of 2007. Hardesty's and Dickerson's papers dealt with their experiences in Cuba, where they went as part of the exchange program between ONU and Havana University. Also presenting were Professor Waters and Professor Crawford of the HPJ faculty, and Professor Lomax served as session moderator.

New Honorary Inducts Members


First members to a new national honorary, Studia Socialia Americae, for students in the social studies and for those who hold state certification in the area, were inducted during Honors Day. The organization was created by Dr. John Lom ax, professor of history, in 2006-7. This year ONU became Studium Premum (the first studia) of the organization.
